The purpose of the ritual is a psychological releasing and clearing. This action is intended to release the past, old blocks, old traumas, old baggage, old mythologies about the self, my self, which no longer serve my being.

New Year’s Eve Wayfarer’s Dole
A Pink Buddha action and ritual of kindness.
Based on the tradition of The Hospital* of St. Cross and Almshouse of Noble Poverty, Pink Buddha will provided Wayfarer’s Dole on New Year’s Eve.
1 pm until 5 pm
All visitors who knocked or rang the doorbell asked for the Dole, receiving a small cup of beer and a morsel of bread.
Visitors were welcomed to enjoy the backyard emirates and participated in a pre-New Year ritual of warmth and good cheer.
Make a wish fire pit ritual at dark:
Participants wrote a wish or wishes down on a piece of paper
Offered wishes up to the warmth of the fire pit
Horns and noisemakers were used to commemorate wishes.
Beverage were provided by the infamous Hieronymonk Smith Abbey.
Morsels baked by various local artisans.
*(in the older sense of the word meaning charitable institution)
