Me & My Shadow
A trilogy based on what was once a recurring dream over a period of decades. In those dreams I am visited by a large male presence. I never see “him.” Just his shape. Seeking answers about recurring dreams I engaged ChatGPT for Jungian based analysis. That exchange is an exploration of my Shadow/Animus/Mentor and how I have integrated this “presence” into my psyche.
Two of the paintings are symbolic representations of my first occurrence and last occurrence of the dream. The third image is a prompt to me by the A.I. asking what or how I would acknowledge the bear as an integrated part of me.
